So, I don't know if I could really pick one place to live on this Earth. I want to visit Tokyo, New York City, London, Jerusalem, Sydney, New Zealand, and Rome, and that's only naming a few. I suppose I enjoy the big city, but in reality, I would hate to live there. I'm relatively introverted, and I don't do well when I'm in a crowd of strangers all by myself. I think out of any of the places named above I would choose Tokyo.
First of all, I really enjoy learning about Japanese culture and history. Sure, it has its dark points (cough 1920s through mid 1940s Japan cough), but so does the U.S. I've always thought the way of the Shogun and Samurai were awesome, and have always thought the idea of honor before your life was wicked. I wouldn't go so far as to take my life before being shamed, but I can see where these guys are coming from.
Now, when I say I want to live in Tokyo, I'm not talking about the big city where they have super weird toilets and sit around and eat sushi all day (not to be racist or anything...). I want to live a life of solitude. I want to live somewhere remote near Mount Fuji where I can do nothing but play guitar, meditate, and pray all day. You see, it is at these moments, when I do "nothing," that I feel truly connected to God. I appreciate all the beauty and majesty that he gave us by simply saying he wanted it that way. He's truly a beautiful artist, and I treasure experiencing his art more than anything.
Anyway, that's all I got folks.
Freshly yours,
Honeybagel
