5. Jungle Love by The Steve Miller Band - Ripe Banana
The first of the women is Ripe Banana. I call her that because of humorous experience I've had with her. It's not the lyrical meaning or content that reminds me of her. It's how easy it is to fit her name into the song. I think someone had to point this out to me.
4. Layla by Derek and the Dominos - First Born
This code name is rather obvious if you know us. I couldn't think of anything else. Whatever. It's kind of long story as to why this reminds me of her. If you know me, come ask me about it. I may or may not tell you. If you don't, perhaps I can talk about it a future blog post. (cough cough foreshadowing cough cough)
3. Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) by Journey - Night Moves
If you know anything about my "relationship" with Night Moves (if you can figure out who that is), this song is a pretty humorous choice. The amount of times we've "broken up" is uncanny and hilarious. However, whenever we "break up,: I feel kinda empty. Not in a depressing way. More like, I really miss having you around kind of way. Even if it's not a real relationship or break up, it feels like on at times. So it makes me sad whenever we go our separate ways.
Whoa. That got deeper then I meant it to. Anyway, the video is supremely 80's and in a good way. And I gave her the code name Night Moves after another song that reminds me of her.
2. If You Could Read My Mind by Gordon Lightfoot - Golden Sun
I've nicknamed this particular women Golden Sun as a reflection of her personality. She is quirky and spontaneous and I enjoy that. She can always bring a smile to face whether she's trying to or not. Awhile ago, I was challenged to a 1 to 10 where I would have to serenade five different women. One of the women was Golden Sun, and I would have to sing her this song. I started listening to the song and throughly enjoyed it, but I think of her whenever I hear it now.
And finally one number is...
1. Whole Lotta Love by Led Zeppelin - Majestic Rainbow
Whole Lotta Love is (in my opinion) the greatest love song to be recorded. If I had to sing my future wife one love song, it would be this. So why not give the perfect women the perfect song? For those of you who have heard of Majestic Rainbow, you'll know my not so secret admiration for her. For those of you who don't who Majestic Rainbow is, imagine the most beautiful sight on Earth. Now multiply the beauty threefold. Now multiply the threefold beauty ten times. That beauty is not even half as beautiful as Majestic Rainbow. Majestic Rainbow has such pristine and serine beauty that the only song that can describe is Whole Lotta Love. But in the end, she is Majestic Rainbow, an eternal and awesome beauty. Anyway, Majestic Rainbow. Perfect women, perfect song. Yeah...
Oh! The second video is a live version because I think it's even better live.
Freshly yours,
Honeybagel
