The Crown of Creation

Women

Women are the crown of God's good creation. They are beautiful in every way, although they may be tainted by the darkness of sin. Nevertheless, they are meant to be admired, cherished, and nurtured in a way that brings glory to God. That is not to say that women are incapable of doing things for themselves. What I would like to do is share a few songs in dedication to some wonderful women in my life, women who inspire me and encourage me. These are songs that remind me of them. 

5. Guns N' Roses - Sweet Child O' Mine

• This song reminds me of a young lady whom I shall here call 'Pluto Gone'. She has beautiful blue eyes and lovely golden strands billowing from her scalp. Enough Said. 

4. Van Morrison - Brown Eyed Girl

• This song reminds me of another wonderful feminine individual. I shall call her 'Serene Dawn'. (Yes, I know these special names are utterly ridiculous.) She has luscious brown eyes and the most precious personality. Cheers to her! 

3. Gordon Lightfoot - Beautiful

• This song- as does the rest that are to follow- reminds me of 'Serene Dawn'. I heard this song a few years ago, and I felt that it perfectly expresses how I feel toward this young lady. It is a great love song, and the video is beautiful. Enough said. 

2. Bleach Celebrate - Celebrate

• This song is from a lesser-known Christian group, and, while it was probably written about Jesus, I listen to it and think about how glad I am to know 'Serene Dawn.' It is a blessing to know so thoroughly lovely an individual. 

1. Stryper - Lady

• YES! We have arrived at one of my favorite love songs of all time. Again, this group is a bit lesser known, but they are certainly righteous. I have loved this song for years, and I am captivated by the blissful thought of 'Serene Dawn' upon every hearing. What a lady! 

So, there is my top five. However, I wish to make a few honorable mentions: "Stryper - My Love I'll Always Show", "The W's - Flower Tattoo", "Gilbert O'Sullivan - At the Very Mention of Your Name", and "Led Zeppelin - Bron-Y-Aur Stomp". 

I pray that we will all learn to better love our fellow humans, especially the females, for they are grossly abused, objectified, and unappreciated quite often in our world. It is a shame for which I might cry. Let us love them as Christ loves His Church. Let us ask of God guidance, that He may teach us patience, understanding, and genuine, unfailing, selfless love. You get the gist. 
And, Ladies, you are beautiful. Don't believe anyone who would tell you otherwise. But remember that you don't need to dress in a certain way, or act in a certain manner. You are you, and you are wonderful. God loves you for you, and if people refuse to love you for you, it is emphatically their loss. True beauty comes not from the approval of society or from flaunting an attractive appearance; true beauty come from an obedient relationship to God. (1 Peter 3:3-4; Proverbs 31:10, 30) Peace!
